  1. first of all, hi all

I thought I posted a while ago but then I came back to check and I didn't...

I'm not very well versed in Python nor Nodebox but I've been fiddling around with it and I love it (thanks devs).

I am mostly interested in both the ability to visualize data and to do generative design (oriented for sound reacting live performance) and lately I've been wondering on how we could use some python libraries in order to acquire an image from a webcam (pygame, ocvs) and display it via nodebox.

I do not even know how to begin to implement such a library, can someone lend a hand?

  2. I've been reading

    https://forum.nodebox.net/t/13216546/bitmap-import

and thats a good starting point for me I think, again, I know very little about java but I imagine it has the ability to capture and stream data that could be connected as the value being imput, via file browser, "File".

    I watched

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_Pk-dibo8I

that showed how to implement webcam capture, but I can't really tell what to extract from that function that could be sent to the tresh function described above...

(by the way, connecting the point to a textpath, using the example given by y lievenmenschaert, gives out a nice result as shown in the picture)
