  1. When I ran the command "ant run" though the build is successful, I am getting the following error in run.

    run:
    [java] Jul 25, 2021 5:16:08 PM nodebox.Log info
    [java] INFO: Starting NodeBox
    [java]
[java] Exception: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError thrown from the UncaughtExceptionHandler in thread "main"
    [java] Java Result: 1

I am unable to start NodeBox. Request for help please.

  3. Hi,

Sorry you are having trouble installing NodeBox. I am not a Linux user so can be of little help.

If you search the forum you will find references with problems and solutions from other Linux users. One recent post said to make sure you are using JDK 11 (but it looks like you are):

    https://forum.nodebox.net/t/19582172/update-instalation-instructions-for-linux

For what it's worth, according to the NodeBox About dialog, I am using Java 14.0.1+7 on my Mac installation of NodeBox 3.0.52, but I don't know if that is relevant for Linux. I suppose you could try installing an even more recent JDK if there is one.

Adding Frederik, just in case he has time to look into this. If not, are there any other Linux users out there who could offer some suggestions?

I hate to see a new user unable to even get started.

    John
