Suppose you have created a complex composition, say a bouquet of balloons with little stars on them, and you want to just tweak the colors a bit. Maybe heighten the saturation or decrease the alpha a tad.
It would be a nuisance to go back into the different colorize nodes hidden away in multiple subnetworks and maybe make multiple changes in all these places just to try one adjustment. This new node provides a much easier alternative.
The adjust_fill node takes a shape or geometry and lets you change the hue, saturation, brightness, and/or alpha of its fill color, returning the modified object ready to go. You can feed in a whole stream of such objects and change them together using any combination of the four color properties. It's similar to my change_color node, but it works on objects instead of colors.
The attached demo and screenshot shows an example. At the left is the original bouquet of star balloons. To its right are two more bouquets, one adjusted for saturation, brightness, and alpha, the other for hue and saturation. You can change the settings of the reference color to try any other values you want.
Nothing revolutionary. Just an easier way to tweak colors.
