Do you ever use NodeBox just to muck with data tables?

  1. I do.

I'm sure this was not its intended use, but it turns out NodeBox is really handy for reading in CSV files, sorting them, filtering them, slicing and dicing them, and maybe saving out digested versions as new CSV files. Sometimes I do this without generating any drawings or animations at all.

These are things you could do in Excel, but I find Nodebox lets me chain together multiple transformations in a more intuitive way. And I can save these transformation chains for reuse!

I just released more table nodes to make this even easier:

Does anyone else use NodeBox just for mucking about with tables?
